Every Bloomin' Thing: Early June

The yard has gone to white and purple. The hundred or so daisies are blooming as are the purple wild phlox and the creeping phlox still has blooms on it. Also the purple and gold irises are blooming. Unfortunately, they took a beating in yesterday's high winds. We also had garbage day (usually Tuesdays, but a day late for Memorial Day Monday). Plus, the purple lilacs are still blooming.

The two sunburst honey locusts are budding out in their splendid gold. The Japanese lilac trees are getting ready to bloom white as are the Miss Kim lilacs. The ajuga plants are with blue flowers now as well.

Yesterday, I did some work on the northeast flower garden and west end of the arboretum. I also transplanted hostas.

A bit cool today, but supposed to get into the 80s the next two days.

EVER WONDER...If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport a terminal?
