It's Them, Not Me: Where to Now at the Gas Pumps?-- Part 1

Gas here in northern Illinois has been holding at between $4.10 and $4.20 for the most part. The BP station in Fox Lake has it for $4.06 and Thursday, in Twin lakes, Wisconsin, just over the border, it was $4.

It's been that for the last week. Now, we have to figure out what happens next.

My own belief is that there is absolutely no reason for the cost of gas to be over $2.50. What is happening is that somebody wants to get very rich. They have been planning this for a long time.

Even before the problems in the Middle East and North Africa with the revolutions, plans were in the works for $4+ gas. That is why the prices were kept at $2.80 and $2.90 last fall and early winter when the price should have been dropping.

Who is responsible? I don't know for sure, but am sure it is one of the group I dub Axis of Evil (thanks George). They are Big Oil, speculators and the Middle East (and very likely terrorists). It is most likely a combination of the three with Big Oil and the Middle East having their own speculators. Then, of course, we have our own American speculators and investors.

If you're a terrorist, you by now know that if you knock down our buildings, we will rebuild. What better way to hurt the USA than to destroy our economy by gas? However, they should know that if we go down, everybody goes down.

More to Come. --RoadDog
