Where Were You April 3, 1966?-- Part 4

TRY TOO HARD-- DAVE CLARK FIVE-- From the British Invasion. (It was about time they made it to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.)
TILL THE END OF THE DAY-- KINKS-- Current hit. (I liked them back then, but even better now.)

EVOL-NOT LOVE-- FIVE AMERICANS-- Hit Bound. (Loved that "Zip Code." Notice what love is spelled backward.)
KICKS-- PAUL REVERE AND THE RAIDERS-- In the Top ten. (Loved those Revolutionary War uniforms.)

CALIFORNIA DREAMIN'-- MAMAS AND PAPAS-- Their first hit had been #1 the week before, bur dropped to #2. The next week their new hit "Monday, Monday" debuted.

GLORIA-- SHADOWS OF KNIGHT-- #1 in Chicago from a group of local guys. (Oh, yeas, the Cellar in Arlington Heights.)

Going to 1976 Next. --RoadDog
