About seven days ago, I was thinking maybe the White Sox had finally turned the corner and would make a run at first in the sorry AL Central when they had finally gotten back to .500 and had gotten rid of one of their four overpaid, lousy players, Teahan.
They had just beaten the Red Sox, a good team. Then the Red Sox won the next two and another good team, the Yankees came in and swept four games. Now, the Sox go on the road for a quick three more losses to the Sox-killer Twins, a team the Sox just can't find many ways to beat.
And, we still have three essentially worthless players getting paid big bucks to play poorly: Rios, Peavey and worst of all, Dunn. Time to just eat their enormous salaries, sit them down and bring up rookies and prepare for next year.
Also time to re-evaluate General Manager Williams who brought in these four under performers.
Well, At Least the Cubs Have Started to Play Baseball. --RoadDog
