How to Beat Blooming Big Oil, Well Maybe

Good ol' Exxon-Mobil posted a $10.7 billion profit for the second quarter and I sure believe them when they say it has nothing to do with these real high gas prices.

One way to flip them the bird is to stay close to home and drive as little as possible. We've been doing just that with our last major vacation being the end of April, early May.

Of course, having a boat and the great Chain of Lakes close by doesn't hurt either.

The last several days:

THURSDAY, JULY 28TH-- Cubs-Brewers game in Milwaukee.

FRIDAY, JULY 29TH-- Boating to dinner at Captain's Quarters (full slab ribs for $10), saw the eagles, Hidden Point Bar and El Puerto Mexican restaurant and bar.

SATURDAY, JULY 30TH-- Boating for breakfast at McDonald's. Steitz's bar, Port of Blarney bar, Terry Spizzeri playing music inside, Captain's Quarters and Chicago Rev Up band.

SUNDAY, JULY 31ST-- Thirsty Turtle bar, Choppers bar, Steve's bar, Captain's Quarters, R Gang band.

MONDAY, AUGUST 1ST-- 92-East bar, boating, Blarney Island bar, Mineola bar, American Legion.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 2ND-- Granny's Diner, Donovan's Reef bar.

Stayin' Home and Enjoying It. --RoadDog
