Listen to this man. Seven years of college, you know. Trying to reason with 2020 and, now, 2022.

A Weekend Planner

THURSDAY: Went boating, saw a bald eagle, finished the Chain Crawl bars, had great 25 cent wings and shrimp at the Lodge in Antioch and saw the band Class of '68. They played you-know-what.

FRIDAY: We had great breakfasts at the Dill Pickle in Spring Grove. I especially like their Mediterranean omelet with mushrooms, feta cheese and spinach.

Worked in the yard and met the Usual Suspects at Gasoline Alley on Grasslake with that view of the lake, Blarney Ripoff and buck bottles. Ran into Tony and Madeline there who used to own the Whitetail bar and restaurant on US-12 in Fox Lake.

I tried to have a Fire on the Strand, but the mosquitoes were ravenous.

TODAY: Would like to go boating, but overcast and it rained last night and is supposed to rain some more.

Lake Villa is having their town festival complete with water fights, food and music. Captain's Quarters has a band starting at 7 pm. Fox Lake is having Venetian Night with decorated boats, a block party and fireworks.

SUNDAY: Rain predicted, but would like to go boating. The band Cover Story playing at Captain's.

Staying Home More and Enjoying It. --RoadDog

GROANER: This one is R-E-A-L Bad. What kind of coffee was served on the Titanic? Are you ready? Sanka.
