Down in North Carolina: Monday and Tuesday

MONDAY-- AUGUST 22nd

Enjoyed the beach and then went to the Missiles and More Museum in Topsail Beach. We got caught in a big rainstorm and had to wait in the IGA parking lot before having a delicious pizza at Max's.

Some big time flooding on the way back. Starting to hear about Hurricane Irene which might hit Topsail Beach by Sunday.

Enjoyed the sunset from the beach.

TUESDAY-- AUGUST 23rd

Enjoyed the beach again. Spent a lot of time moving outdoor furniture inside at three of the other townhomes here at the Topsail Arms as it looks more likely that the hurricane will hit here. The Weather Channel finally got the hurricane it so desperately wanted.

I have decided that I REALLY DON'T LIKE putting up the storm shutters. I had to do it on three townhomes and still have Mom's to do.

The next door neighbors asked Mom if she had felt an earthquake and she blamed it on me. I was making a lot of noise trying to get those durn storm shutters up.

Found out a short time later that there actually had been an earthquake in Virginia and that is what they had felt. I felt nothing, but was probably kicking those doggone shutters in place.
