Wednesday on the Chain of Lakes

After the sealcoat guy and gal left, we drove the old Malibu and '85 Firebird over to Dependable Auto on Grasslake Road and dropped it off to get the brake problem fixed.

Then on to the tiki bar at Electric Harbor again, this time for the $2 Johnsonville brat and fries and $3 frozen drinks. Today, the tike bar was completely open as the winds had really subsided. I managed to down a mudslide and a mango daiquiri without brain freeze.

Then went boating with the Kellehers and visited the newest place on the Chain Crawl, Fairmont Shores. Sat out on the deck overlooking Fox Lake, but doubt we'll be back often as they charged $3 for a pint, but at least it was a full pour, none of that 3 ounces of foam that is getting so popular.

Put the boat up and joined the Usual Suspects at Castaways on Pistakee Lake for 40 cent jumbo wings, $1 drafts and Jim Seig playing out on the deck on an absolutely great evening, something that we've had few of this summer. The place was really jumping and everyone having a good time. Glenn even decided not to go to his car club meeting because he was having so much fun.

Now, That Was a Really Good Day. --RoadDog

UNIVERSAL TRUTH: Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.
