Listen to this man. Seven years of college, you know. Trying to reason with 2020 and, now, 2022.

JSS: So Tired of Black Friday-- That 70s Music on the Drive-- First Christmas Radio, Now Christmas TV?-- Christmas Toilet Paper?
JSS-- Just Some Stuff.
1. SO TIRED OF BLACK FRIDAY-- I will be so glad when today is over. For the last that is just about all I've been hearing. Black Friday, Black Friday, Black Friday. Give me a break. And, we didn't even go out of the house so you wasted all that advertising money on us.
2. THAT 70S MUSIC ON THE DRIVE-- In case you really like the music from the 1970s, Chicago's WDRV 97.1 FM the Drive, is playing music from 1976 today. Tomorrow its 1977 and Sunday 1978. It streams.
3. FIRST CHRISTMAS RADIO, NOW CHRISTMAS TV?-- Of course, some of the Christmas radio stations fired up on Nov. 1 and all are going now. Now, we have two cable channels showing pretty much nothing but Christmas movies. Lifetime and Hallmark. I've heard that most of these movies have pretty much the same plot. I haven't seen any yet, but might just have to watch some to make up my mind on them.
4. CHRISTMAS TOILET PAPER?-- And this pushes the boundaries a bit much. Charmin even has a Christmas toilet paper song. We've sure come a long way since "Please don't squeeze the Charmin."

I Thought That Toilet Roll Was Getting Smaller
Well, this confirms it. From the July 24, 2013, Yahoo! Finance/Wall Street Journal. "Shrinking Rolls, Plump Profits. This confirms it.
The number of sheets are shrinking on this necessity. I had been thinking that the "Double Rolls" are getting down to about the size of the former regular rolls. Not only that, but it appears that the width is also shrinking. There appears to be more room between the edges of the roll and the t-p holder.

A Truly Smelly Job!!!
After 15 years at the "new" house, it came time to have the septic tank pumped out today. Some people get it done every year (those of us "out in the country" anyway). Because we have two full baths and two half baths, we had to get a very large tank and a big septic field with at least five lines. With just the two of us, this is a bit of overkill, but that is the only way we get get to village to OK the house for occupation. So, there you go.
This past August, our neighbors across the street got theirs pumped, and I walked over to ask if the company could do ours as long as they were across the street. However, with all of the flooding and messed up septic fields, they said it would be at least a month before they could get to us. Liz called while I was on vacation.
The guy came out today and pumped the aromatic effluent of our leavings. Fortunately there were no problems. Hopefully, this will not CAUSE problems either.
He backed the truck into the driveway then ran pipes around to the septic tank which is by the deck. He said he's had encounters with bricks, and most strange of all, a 14 pound bowling ball. I guess SOMEONE was VERY unhappy with their performance.
So, $155 later, I have the pleasure of having a cleaned-out septic tank!!! Aren't I a lucky guy.
