Congratulations go out to Andy Kim who has been added to the Walk of Fame in Canada.

Congratulations to Brenda Lee and Ray Stevens who are now own the Music City (Nashville) Walk of Fame.

Also, congratulations to these new members of the Songwriters Hall of Fame:

Robert "Kool" Bell, George Brown and James J.T. Taylor   These three from Kool and the Gang.

Neil Diamond received the Johnny Mercer Award.

Neil Diamond Receives the Johnny Mercer Award

The Songwriters Hall of Fame on March 20, 2018, announced that Neil Diamond would receive the annual Johnny Mercer Award.  He will receive it on June 14 in New York City.

Music Stuff: Elvin Bishop and Songwriters Hall of Fame

1.  ELVIN BISHOP--  Will be inducted May 4, 2016, into the Blues Hall of Fame in Memphis.

2.  SONGWRITERS HALL OF FAME--  These 2016 inductees were announced March 2,.  They will be inducted in on June 9, 2016, in New York.  They are Marvin Gaye, Chip Taylor ("Wild Thing"), Nile Rodgers and Bernie Edwards ("LeFreak"), Elvis Costello and Tom Petty.

Announced October 6th:  George Harrison, Marvin Gaye, Roger Miller, Jeff Lynne, Isley Brothers, Sly Stone, Blondie, Steve Miller, John Mellancamp, Tom Petty, John D. Loudermilk, Dallas Frazier, Chip Taylor, Lionel Bart and Berry Gordy Jr.,   Winners will be inducted in June.

I was glad to see Dallas Frazier on this list.  I've written about him in this blog.

It will be hard to choose from this list.
