On February 22, 2017, the Songwriters Hall of Fame announced their 2017 inductees.

Motown founder Berry Gordy
Jay Z-- the first-ever rapper
Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds
Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis
Max Martin
The induction will take place in New York City on June 15, 2017.
