7. MILES DAVIS-- Born in Alton, Illinois.
8. PATTI SMITH-- Born in Chicago but her family soon moved to Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Punk pioneer.
9. RICK NIELSEN-- Rockford. Cheap trick.
10. STEVE GOODMAN-- "Go Cubs Go. One of the best.
