Soul singer
An acclaimed soul singer who rose to prominence in the UK's 1970s Northern Soul.
Best known for his songs "Keep On Keeping On" and "If Only I Could be Sure."

Northern Soul Music was based on Black Soul Music emanating from the mid-1960s. Usually the artists are lesser-known ones, like Nolan Porter.

R&B / Gospel singer / saxophonist
He was a staple of the soul/gospel circuit for six decades. Still very popular in Britain in their Northern Soul sound. I'd never heard of him before and that is too bad as he was a great singer. He never had a Pop Top 100.
I have been listening to his songs on You Tube. Wow!!
