And it took a whole lot of sleeping to catch up on sleeping lost Thursday to Sunday.
As usual, whole lot of fun and, this year we had an extra day, arriving on Thursday around noon instead of Friday. This gave us what is called Carb Day on Friday, which consisted of practice runs by the Indy qualifiers, an Indy Light car race of 100 miles, Pit Crew Challenge and a concert, this year by the group Journey.
Saturday was Legends Day and we saw old Indy cars making runs around the track as well as walking to Gasoline Alley and various car company exhibits.
Sunday, of course, the race and an all-time big crowd in attendance of 350,000. We never even heard the name Alexander Rossi mentioned until the last several laps of the race when he won while driving on literally fumes. Way to go rookie!!
