GREG LAKE, 69. Died December 7, 2016.
Guitarist with King Crimson and Emerson, Lake & Palmer. Helped form King Crimson whose biggest hit was their album Court of the Crimson King. left after their second album.
Approached by Keith Emerson to form Emerson, Lake & Palmer along with Carl Palmer. They were primarily album-oriented. Two of their biggest were Pictures on Exhibition and Brain Salad Surgery.
They charted four times with singles and two biggest, and one of my all-time favorites "Lucky Man" (#48 in 1971, #51-1972) and "From the Beginning" (#39-1972).
He produced most of their material and also had a solo hit with "I Believe in Father Christmas."
