Music Deaths: Member of Status Quo
RICK PARFITT Died December 24, 2016.
Guitarist with Status Quo who charted 22 Top Ten tunes in U.K. in the 1960s.
They had two Top 100s in the U.S. in 1968. "Ice in the Sun" (#70) and their biggie, "Pictures of Matchstick Men" (#12).
I really liked "Pictures of Matchstick Men." If that was Mr. Parfitt on the opening licks ... WOW!!
