Singer-songwriter, piano player who did Rock and Roll and R&B.
Born Richard Wayne Penniman. He was variously called "The Innovator," "The Originator" and "The Architect of Rock and Roll." His most successful efforts were in the 1950s, but he remained a force throughout the time since.
