WLS Top 40 for May 12, 1967-- 4: "At the Zoo"


25.  GROOVIN'--  Young Rascals   (#1)  Blue-eyed soul pop quartet from New York City.  "On a Summer Afternoon," you know.

24.  AT THE ZOO--  Simon & Garfunkel   (#16)    The "B" side of "59th Street Bridge Song."

23.  MUSIC TO WATCH GIRLS BY--  Andy Williams   (#34)  He had 39 Top 100s 1956-1976  Was this a game show song?  Check out all the hip movement on the girls in the video on You Tube.  Even Don Knotts has a group of gals.

22.  CREEQUE ALLEY--  Mamas and Papas   (#2)  The last of six Top tens for them.  Two of them were from the Mugwumps who were also in this Top 40 at #35.  This song was about the Mugwumps.

21.  BUY FOR ME THE RAIN--  Nitty Gritty Dirt Band   (#45)   Country-folk-rock band from Long Beach, California  One of my first introductions to country rock.
