Listen to this man. Seven years of college, you know. Trying to reason with 2020 and, now, 2022.

Music Deaths: J. Geils

Musician J Geils, founder of the J. Geils Band, known for such peppy early '80s pop hits as "Freeze Frame" and "Centerfold," died April 11, 2017 in his Massachusetts home of natural causes. he was 71.

The J. Geils Band was founded in 1967 and broke up in 1985 but reunited off and on over the years.  The band was nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the fourth time last fall but was not selected for the 2017 class.

And, they should really be in the Hall of Fame.  One of my favorite groups, both in their R&B era and the '80s.  My Homeroom Angel.
