39.  MIDNIGHT HOUR--  Mirettes   (D)   #45  Former Ikettes.  "In the Midnight Hour"  Female group doing THE SOUL version better even than Wilson Pickett.  Their only top 100.

38.  SUDDENLY YOU LOVE ME--  Tremeloes      #44   British quartet.  A really good song.  Video shows all sorts of fun in the snow.

37.  SUMMERTIME BLUES--  Blue Cheer   (D)    #14  San Francisco hard-rock group.  Psychedelicize the old classic, guys.

36.  PLAYBOY--  Gene & Debbie   #17  Their biggest hit of three Top 100s.  Gene Thomas and Debbie Nevills.  Didn't like it at first, but it grows on you.
