WLS Top 40 for March 11, 1968-- Part 4: "Green Light"

25.  END OF OUR ROAD--  Gladys Knight    #15  "The End of Our Road"    2:14 of great Soul.  I wasn't familiar with the name.  Kind of reminds me of "I Heard It Through the Grapevine."

24.  MEN ARE GETTING SCARCE--  Joe Tex    #33   Born Joseph Arrington, Jr.    Never heard of this song before.  Kind of a "Skinny Legs and All" and he even runs into her in this song.

23.  YOUNG GIRL--  Union Gap   #2   Gary Puckett and the Union Gap   Born in Hibbing, Minnesota.    This song could get you in jail.

22.  GREEN LIGHT--  American Breed   #39   Interracial group from Cicero, a suburb of Chicago.  WLS was noted for playing a lot of songs by Chicago bands.  Some of the members later became Rufus.  2:14 of great horn pop.

21.  THE MIGHTY QUINN--  Manfred Mann   #10 "Mighty Quinn (Quinn the Eskimo)"  English group formed in 1964.  I always thought it was a made up name, but Manfred Mann is the name of one of the members.  Who would name a boy with last name Mann, Manfred?  Hey, Man, Man?

Name That Tune (from the above songs):  "My Love For You Is Way Out Of Line."    Answer below:  RoadDog

"Young Girl"
