About Last Weekend-- Part 3: Sad, Sad Bears, But Good Times With Jim Sieg

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20

We went to the Squaw Bar in Ingleside, Illinois, and met up with the Usual Suspects: Pam, Sue, Paul, Glenn, Kelly, Kevin, Ed and Laura and watched another sad effort by the Bears, though they were in the lead at the end of the first half.  They are now 2-8 and best hope is to lose more for a better draft choice which must be spent on a quarterback.  Cutler is not the answer.

But, Liz did win a Walter Payton game jersey on the raffle draw, so all was not a loss.

We then drove over to Sunnyside Tavern in Johnsburg and certainly enjoyed Jim Sieg performing.  This afternoon, he also had his usual steel guitarist and another guy sat in with him on guitar.

THE SHOCKING TRUTH ABOUT OKRA:  Most people can't even recall ever having said anything at all about okra.  Except possibly:  "Are those legless geckos sleeping near my mashed potatoes.
