Mid-American Conference

The Mid-American Conference (MAC)of which Northern Illinois belongs is a true conference in that they are all in the Midwest, except Buffalo which is reasonably close to Ohio. As what is called a Mid-Level conference because they do not get the absolute top players like the Big Guys (Big 10,11,12 and SEC) do.

But they do well, however.

This month, they have become the during-the-week conference with many games being played Tuesdays and Wednesdays. At least folks unfamiliar with the teams can get an idea how good the teams are. Unfortunately, that is the only time they can get any airplay.

Just NIU's games this Tuesday and two Tuesdays ago should count with 63-60 and 41-38 scores that went down to the last minute. Then, there was Toledo's 66-63 victory and Wednesday's Ohio's 29-28 win over Bowling Green.

Then, there are the increasing number of NFL players who are from the MAC.

Let's hope that potential ballplayers are noticing as well. Why sit on the bench at a Big Guy school when you can start in the MAC.

Go Mid-American Conference (Except Toledo). --RoadDog

LAST PARAPROSDOKIAN SENTENCE: The most finicky machines are those vending machines that accept dollar bills. Just try to get them to take it.
