4th of July-- Part 3

SATURDAY, JULY 5TH:

We went to Twin lakes for their annual parade.  As usual, we watched it from in front of Main Street Tap and adjourned there to wait for the crowd to leave.  Also stopped into Donovan's Reef and had a long talk with Coz, who is recovering from a small stroke several months back.  He is not quite the usual Coz of yet.

Stopped at Antonio's in Spring Grove on the way home and then, once home, we had a fire on the strand and enjoyed the gazebo.

SUNDAY, JULY 6TH:

Terri Hemmert celebrated Ringo Starr's 74th BIRTHDAY!!! on her Breakfast With the Beatles radio show on WXRT.  Could it possibly be that long ago?

We met several members of the Usual Suspects at Captain's Quarters on Fox Lake and enjoyed the Deja Vu Band.  Later, we went to Steitz's for a Chain Crawl passport stamp, overlooking Bluff Lake and dating to the 1930s. and with all sorts of old stuff on the walls and behind the bar.

We were to meet some of the Usual Suspects at the Angry Beaver on Grasslake, but found it was closed for some reason, so adjourned to 'Cuda's which just recently reopened on Grasslake Road.  Last stop back at Antonio's.
