JSS: Unwelcome Winter Arrives-- Flashback to 1968-- Chicago's New Colony Six

JSS--  Just Some Stuff

1.  UNWELCOME WINTER ARRIVES--  Had some really miserable driving back from the Legion last night as the snow started falling at 5 p.m. and is still falling right now at 8:24 a.m.  I just spent 45 minutes using the snowblower on the driveway and front sidewalk and IT IS THE MOST HATED HEAVY SNOW!!  I figure we have at least 8 inches on the ground and it is still coming down.

2.  FLASHBACK TO 1968--  Wendy Rice is going back to 1968 on her Saturday Morning Flashback show on WXRT 93.1 FM in Chicago.  It goes from 8 a.m. to noon CST.  She playied CCR's "Susie-Q"  and now "Stone Soul Picnic" by Laura Nyro right now.  It streams so check it out.

3.  CHICAGO'S NEW COLONY SIX--  I was looking ahead to the December 17, 1965, WLS Survey and saw that Chicago's own New Colony Six debuted at #37 with "I Confess."  One of my favorite songs, so went to You Tube and listened to it.

Oops, shouldn't go to You Tube.  Listened to "Love Is All Around" by Troggs, "Love You So Much" by New Colony Six and "Itchycoo Park" by Small Faces.  I should know better than go to You Tube.
