Died November 9, 2015. Scottish session drummer who played on Beatles' first single "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You." Hired by George Martin to play on these songs because he wasn't sure about Ringo's ability. Ringo played tambourine on the American pressing of "Love Me Do."
Also played sessions with Tom Jones "It's Not Unusual," Lulu's "Shout" and recordings by Englebert Humperdink, Dusty Springfield, Herman's Hermits and Petula Clark.
