WLS Top 40 Survey for August 12, 1966-- Part 4: "You Can't Hurry Love"

25.  LAND OF 1000 DANCES--  Wilson Pickett   Went to #6 on Billboard, his biggest hit.  Former member of the Falcons  If this song "don't get ya ta movin'," nothing will.  "Mustang Sally" which I thought was his biggest hit, only went to #23.

24.  YOU CAN'T HURRY LOVE--  Supremes

23.  SUNNY AFTERNOON--  Kinks

22.  ALFIE--  Cilla Black  Went to #95 on Billboard.  From the movie of the same name starring Michael Caine. From Liverpool and discovered by the Beatles.  Her biggest hit was in 1964 with "You're My World" which went to #26.

21.  DISTANT SHORES--  Chad & Jeremy   Went to #30 on Billboard.  From England and their last big hit.  Of course, I always got them and Peter & Gordon confused.

Name That Tune (from the above):  "Put Your Hands On Your Hips, Yeah, Let Your Backbone Slip."  --RoadDog
