Listen to this man. Seven years of college, you know. Trying to reason with 2020 and, now, 2022.

WLS Top 40 Survey for August 12, 1966-- Part 1: "Satisfied With You"

Hard to believe, but this is am HALF CENTURY ago.

40.  LET'S CALL IT A DAY GIRL--  Razor's Edge   Reached #77 on Billboard.  A person commented on You Tube that it was in heavy rotation on WBBF in Rochester, NY.

39.  SATISFIED WITH YOU--  Dave Clark Five   It went to #50 on Billboard.  A slow song and not one I'd ever heard of before.  The band, however, did have 24 songs that hit the Top 100 and were especially hot from 1964-1965.  Back then I'd have to say I might just have liked the Dace Clark Five more than the Beatles as their music was generally faster and harder edged.

38.  THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER YOU--  Chris Montez  #33 on Billboard.  It had been to #19 for bandleader Sammy Kaye in 1943.

37.  MISTY--  Groove Holmes   Went to #44.

36.  YOU, YOU, YOU--  Mel Carter   Went to #49 in Billboard.  Was a #1 for eight weeks for the Ames Brothers in 1953.

Name That Tune (from the above):  "I Could Be So True, True, True."  --RoadDog

MORE SUTHEN-ISMS:  No true Southerner would ever assume that the car with the flashing turn signal is actually going to make a turn.
