JSS: Those Crazy Chicago Springs-- Real Cold Cubs Opener

JSS:  Just Some Stuff.

1.  THOSE CRAZY CHICAGO SPRINGS--  We had most of it this past Monday.  We were awakened at 4 a.m. by a major rainstorm with plenty of lightning and hail pounding on the windows.  Couldn't get back to sleep.

Then, it warmed up nicely and I sat out FP (Front Porch) for coffee and later OD  (On the Deck)  for lunch. Wore my shorts and tee shirt and was comfortable. I worked in the yard a bit, then went to the theater to see "Ghost in the Shell".  While in there I heard a pounding on the roof.  When I left, the temperatures had dropped 30 degrees and it was too cold for shorts and tee shirt.

Found out we had had another hail and rainstorm.  Liz said the yard looked like snow for a short time.

2.  REAL COLD CUBS OPENER--  Well, Monday was also the Cubs home opener and I was sure glad we weren't there.  Those poor Cub fans had to be miserable with the rain delay and how cold it had gotten.  But they did get to see the World Series Champion flags raised and a Cubs win.

Go Cubs.  --RoadDog
