When we returned from our vacation to Georgia and Florida, we found that our schoolhouse bird feeder had occupants. A pair of birds was building a nest inside it. And these two little birdies (and they ate even smaller than the sparrows, noisily defended their nest, chasing off the other birds from the feeders next to it.
Judging by the sound inside the bird house that happens whenever an adult comes back with food that I heard yesterday, I'd have to say that their eggs have hatched and their are some very, very hungry mouths to feed.
We didn't know what they were at first, but Liz used the bird book and after seeing the picture and reading what it had to say, they were our guys.
They are big-time chirpers and like to build nests in some sort of cavity.
That's Our Guys. --RoadDog
