The band was formed by Who guitarist Pete Townsend. best remembered for their "Something in the Air Tonight" which went to #1 in Britain in 1969 and #37 in the U.S..
MIKE GIBBONS Died April 2, 2016.
Lead singer and trumpet player with Bo Donaldson & the Heywoods. Formed 1965 and got a break opening for the Osmonds in the early 1970s. From Cincinnati. They sang a cover version of Paper Lace's "Billy Don't be a Hero" which spent two weeks at #1 in 1974.
Also had top 40 hits with "Who Do You Think You Are" (#15-1974) and "The Heartbreak Kid" (#39-1974).
