Had TV show of the same name where she played identical cousins. received Best Supporting Actress Oscar in "The Miracle Worker" in 1962.
In 1963, starred in "The Patty Duke Show" as both American Patty Lane and prim and proper English cousin Cathy. The show ran for three years.
Had two hit records, the biggest of which was "Don't Just Stand There" (#8-1965) and "Say Something Funny" (#22-1965).
She sure had the classic Girl Group sound.
