Legendary and Landmark Pies of North Carolina-- Part 1: Peanut and Coconut Pies

Since yesterday was National Cherry Pie Day (see the previous entry in this blog).  This seemed appropriate.

When it comes to desserts, pies are always at the top of my list.

Here are some legendary and landmark pies in N.C:

PEANUT PIE--  Lumberton  Originally at the long-closed Blanchard's Restaurant.

COCONUT PIE--  Blake's in Condor
