WLS Top 40 for July 8, 1968-- Part 1: "Sky Pilot"

(D) means Debut.  The # is how high it got on the Billboard Top 100.

40.  HITCH IT TO THE HORSE--  Fantastic Johnny C     (D)   #34  Couldn't help but think "Boogaloo Down Broadway"  Who was that band backing him?  Hadn't heard it before.

39.  HALFWAY TO PARADISE--   Bobby Vinton     (D)    #23    Real slow smoothie.  "So near yet so far away."  Stanley Robert Vinton.

38.  DON''T GIVE UP--  Petula Clark   (D)     #37   Never heard it before, but to the Petula Clark formula for great songs.  Grows on you.  Born Epsom, England 11/15/32.

37.  SKY PILOT--  Eric Burdon & the Animals    (D)      #14   One of my all-time favorite songs.  You can picture them taking off for enemy action.  Part 1 was the hit.  The song was so long it was continued on the second side of the 45.

36.  PEOPLE GOT TO BE FREE--  Rascals  (D)    #1   Blue-eyed Soul-Pop quartet formed in New York City in 1964.

Name That Tune (from the above songs):  "All The World Over So Easy To See."  Answer below.  --RoadDog
