Nothing Like a Summer Around Here-- Part 1: No Cup, But It's Thursday

WEDNESDAY, JULY 11

Put up my English flag (I am of English ancestry) for the team in the World Cup semifinals.  Went to Donovan's and watched it.  Unfortunately, they lost to Croatia.  Then to Sunnyside Tap.

THURSDAY, JULY 12

Went to the doctor and then did some shopping in McHenry.  Trimmed bushes in the yard.

Then went to Antioch for It's Thursday where they had the band 1976 which played music from the 1970s.  We sure enjoyed the show as that was a prime college decade for us.  Ran into several friends.  Stopped at McDonald's for a chocolate sundae on the way home.
