WLS Top 40 for March 10, 1969-- Part 4: "I Got A Line On You"

Fifty Years Ago, 1969

25.  MR. SUN MR. MOON--  Paul Revere & the Raiders      #18    Hey, what happened to those Revolutionary War uniforms?  From Portland, Oregon.    Paul Revere was his real name.

24.  I GOT A LINE ON YOU--   Spirit     #25    Takes you right back to '69.  From Los Angeles.  Jay Ferguson lead singer, who had hit "Thunder island"  (#9- 1977) and was in Jo Jo Gunne  ""Run Run Run"  (#27-1972).

23.  ROCK ME--   Steppenwolf      #10    Nice sunglasses, John Kay.  Again, this one really takes my back to Senior Lounge at Palatine High School, just like song #40 did.

22.  RUN AWAY CHILD, RUNNING WILD--    #6   Temptations   As usual, you've got the Motown beat and those great harmonies.

21.  ONLY YOU--    Bobby Hatfield       #95   "Only You (And You Alone)"   The Platters would be so proud.  Where was Bill medley?

Name That Tune (from the above songs):  "She Asked Me Maybe I Could Share Her Sorrow."   Answer below.  --RoadDog
