The "Real" Frozen Tundra Outside Our Front Door
The last several days we actually had temps up to 40 degrees, a tropic heat wave for us in northern Illinois these days. But yesterday, we had four inches of the heaviet snow I've ever dealt with and then rain (with thunder) then lots of melting snow and flooding in low areas. //// Then, last night into this morning, really strong winds, up to 45 mph in gusts. I worried about our trees, especially the two remaining Bradford pears (we lost one last November to wind). //// Today, with another little bit of snow falling and the strong winds, it looks like a classic frozen tundra picture with the snow going up and over the snowpiles. //// Really Getting Tired of This Crummy Winter. --RoadDog
