This Date in Beatles History
From the Olde Disc Jockey Site. //// FEBRUARY 21, 1961: The Beatles played three engagements in Liverpool starting with a lunch show at the Cavern Club, an evening show at the Cassanova Club and night show at Litherland Town Hall. (Practice makes perfect I guess). //// FEBRUARY 21, 1964: Billy Joel joined the New York-based band Echoes, playing British Invasion music. //// FEBRUARY 21, 1964: The Rolling Stones released single "Not Fade Away" in U.K.. Two weeks later it was released in the U.S.. It was their first Top Five song. //// FEBRUARY 21ST, 1966: Beatles release "Nowhere Man" single in U.S.. //// FEBRUARY 21ST, 1967: At Abbey Road Studio in London, the Beatles finished recording "Fixing a Hole." //// Of course, it wasn't just the Beatles. There was all the British Invasion Music (like the Stones) and impact on youth, Billy Joel. //// --RoadDog
