Where's the NIU Huskie Spirit?

Watched the NIU Huskie-Eastern Michigan game last night on Comcast Sports, a very rare time to be on TV. We had considered driving to Dekalb, about an hour-and-a-half away, but the rotten weather kept us from doing it. //// Now, the Huskies haven't had much of a basketball team in the last twenty years, but things are getting a whole lot better in Coach Montgomery's third year. The last two years the team won a total of five games each, but are close to .500 for this one. And, you can see the team is really coming together and there will be some really good years in the near future. //// But what really got me was the size of the crowd at the Convocation Center. There couldn't have been more than 600 in attendance, considering that NIU has 24,000 students. I'd almost rather have had the game not telecast as to be shamed like that. //// And, what a game it was!! The Huskies came back from nine points down, tied it and won in overtime. //// Students, even if your team is not doing well, you owe it to the team to go out and cheer them on. //// And, it is sad that the students have shown that they can back the football team. //// Anyway, Hoping for an Improvement, Kids!! --RoadDog
