The first show was January 1, 1964, right in the heart of Beatlemania and it ran until 30 July 2006, airing Thursday evening on BBC1. //// Appearing on the first show in order: "I Wanna Be Your Man" by the Rolling Stones; "I Only Want to Be With You" by Dusty Springfield; "Glad All Over" by Dave Clark Five; "Hippy Hippy Shake" by Swinging Blue Jeans and "I Want to Hold Your Hand" by the Beatles. The last song was always the #1 song. //// The bands mimed their songs.
