Every Bloomin THing: Mid-May 2015

Returned home this past Thursday, may 7th and had to cut the grass as it was quite high after a 2 1/2 week headstart and the rain and cool temps while we were gone.  I have a fine crop of dandelions.  I have to cut it again today.

The two frontyard crabapple trees have lost their blooms and the truck appeared white with its blossom cover after the rain.

The creeping phlox are all abloom as is the yellow perennial whose name I know not.  Tulips are blooming everywhere and the azaleas are starting to bloom as well.

I am busy working on clearing out the flower beds as we can burn on weekends until the end of this month.

The sunburst honeylocusts are getting ready to leaf out, always a brilliant sight.

Quite chilly this morning with temps overnight down to lower 30s and frost advisory.  Had to bring in plants just in case.

A small bird has taken over the schoolhouse birdfeeder and built a nest in it.  the rest of the birds are not happy about it as that is where I placed sunflower seed, their favorite.
