Music Makes It Onto National Film Registry
The Library of Congress added 25 new movies to the National Film Registry on Dec. 17, 2014. Among these are "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" which reintroduced the Beatles' "Twist and Shout." Also "Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" with its "candy man Theme" which was a big hit for Sammy Davis, Jr.. Also "Rio Bravo" which co-starred singers Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson with John Wayne.
