Died January 5, 2016.
One of the founders of R&B group Whispers who carted 12 Top 100 hits from 1970-1991. their biggest hit was "Rock Steady" (#7-1987). Inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2011.
Other hits: "And the Beat Goes On" (#19, 1980, "Lady" (#28) and "It's a Love Thing" (#28) The last one is personal favorite of mine.
