WLS Top 40 for September 2, 1968-- Part 2: "Hey Jude / Revolution"

35.  SPECIAL OCCASION--   Smokey Robinson / Miracles    (D)    #28  Not one of his better known songs, but pure "Smokey."

34.  LISTEN HERE--  Eddie Harris     #45   Never heard of this one before.  A jazz instrumental that grows on you with repeated listenings.  Born in Chicago in 1936.  Listen to to the Atlantic version on You Tube.

33.  MIDNIGHT CONFESSIONS--  Grassroots   (D)    #5   Their biggest hit.   One of my favorite groups back then.

32.  PLEASE RETURN YOUR LOVE TO ME--  Temptations     #26   Great slow Motown song.

31.  HEY  JUDE / REVOLUTION--  Beatles   (D)     "Hey Jude"  #1,  "Revolution"  #12.  You Tube has versions of the Beatles playing these songs live on a TV show, well worth watching.
