Sax player and songwriter with Kool & the Gang. Co-founder of the band, along with his brother Robert "Kool" Bell.
They had a creative mix of sounds with influences ranging from jazz to soul to funk.
He wrote and produced many of the classic songs of the group:
"Celebration"
"Cherish"
"Jungle Boogie"
"Open Sesame"
I saw this group at the Indy 500's Carb Day back in 2019.
