GLEN LARSON, 77 Died Nov. 14, 2014.
Founding member and baritone of the Four Preps. Also, a well-known TV producer.
The harmony of the Four Preps was a huge influence on Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys. The group charted 18 times in eight years starting in 1956.
Some of their "biggies" that he sang and wrote:
26 Miles (#2, 1958)
Big Man (#3, 1958)
Down By the Station (#13, 1960)
After the group, he worked for Quinn Martin Productions on "The Fugitive." he produced "Alias Smith and Jones," "The Six Million Dollar Man," "Battlestar Gallatica," "Quincy M.D.," "Magnum PI" and "Knight Rider."
he also wrote the themes for "Battlestar Gallatica" and "Fall Guy."
Quite an impressive resume for someone I'd never hear of before.
