Three Hit Wonders: Third Time's the Charm-- Part 1

From the March 29, 2013, List of the Day "Three Hit Wonders: Third Time's the Charm or Three's Company" by Rob O'Connor.

I sure miss Mr. O'Connors column that ran on Yahoo every so often.  Always interesting items with pictures and lots 'o info.

These are groups that only had three Top 40 hits.  Some of the songs I've heard, others not.  First song listed was biggest hit.

25.  PLAYER--  Baby Come Back, This Time I'm In It for Love, Prisoner of Your Love

24.  SIR DOUGLAS QUINTET--  She's About a Mover, The Rains Came, Mendocino  (One of my favorite groups with Doug Sahm and Augie Meyers who went on to form the Texas Tornadoes.)

23.  BANANARAMA--  Cruel Summer, Venus, I Heard a Rumour  (Or were they the Go-Gos.  I can never keep them apart.)

22.  RUPERT HOLMES--  Escape (the Pina Colada Song), Him, Answering Machine.  (Had a way with humorous songs.)

21. KATRINA & THE WAVES--  Walking on Sunshine, Do You Want Crying, That's the Way

And Who Did His Date Turn Out to Be?  --RoadDog

YOU THINK ENGLISH IS EASY?  There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row.
