Paul McCartney Turns 75
It has been 11 years since he was 64 and sang about that birthday.
Paul McCartney was born June 18, 1942.
A little while ago, Bob Stroud did his Ten at Ten on Chicago's WDRV, 97.1 FM, The Drive, on Paul McCartney songs. He will do it again at 10 p.m. CDST. It streams at www.wdrv.com.
This Sunday, the actual birthday, WDRV will be doing the Beatles A to Z. Nothing but alphabetical Beatles songs until they run out of them.
Sunday, of course, Terri Hemmert on Chicago'sWXRT, 93.1 FM, will be playing nothing but Paul McCartney songs on her Breakfast With the Beatles show from 8 to 10 a.m. CDST. It streams as well.
Are we really getting that old?
Of course, Liz and I will be driving Route 66 this fall from one end to the other as we are now both 66. Paul McCartney did that as well when he turned 66.
