Welcome Summer 2017 (Officially): Summer Songs

Yesterday, Bob Stroud on Chicago's Classic Rock Station WDRV, 93.1 FM, the Drive, got a jump on Summer 2017 on his Ten at Ten show.  He said that summer officially arrives here in the Chicagoland area at 11:27 (or was it 11:47 p.m).

Here are ten tunes to get you ready for summer.  Can you guess the performers (answers below)?

1.  SUMMER IN THE CITY--
2.  SUMMER OF '69--
3.  HOT BLOODED--

4.  IN THE SUMMERTIME--    My favorite all-time summer song.
5.  HOT GIRLS IN LOVE--
6.  SUMMERTIME BLUES--
7.  SUMMER BREEZE--

8.  HEAT OF THE MOMENT--
9.  HERE COMES THE SUN--
10.  BOYS OF SUMMER--

And, I sure love these early daylights and late sunsets.  Sadly, we start losing them now.  And, then those festivals.  Waucondafest is this weekend from Thursday to Sunday.

Bob Stroud also does a Summer salute on the first Sunday of Summer on his Rock and Roll Roots Show on the Drive.  Three hours guaranteed to get you in the mood.
