WLS Top 40 for June 9, 1967-- 4: "Six O'Clock"

WLS, 890 AM, was one of the two big radio stations we listened to in Chicago in the 1960s and 1970s.  The other was WCFL, 1000 AM.

25.  LITTLE BIT SLOWER--   #18   Actual title "Do It Again A little Bit Slower."  Their backing group was called the In Crowd.  Their biggest hit of three songs.

24.  TRADES OF MY TEARS--  Johnny Rivers   #10   Actual Title "Tracks of My Tears."  Born John Ramistella.   Johnny doing another cover?  Imagine that.

23.  GIRLS IN LOVE--  Gary Lewis   #39   Gary Lewis & the Playboys formed in Los Angeles in 1964.  Had six straight Top Tens.  I didn't remember this one.  Thanks You Tube.

22.  STEP OUT OF YOUR MIND--  American Breed    #24   Interracial rock quartet from Cicero, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago.  Eventually became Rufus.  WLS backing local talent again.

21.  SIX O'CLOCK--  Lovin' Spoonful   #18  Described as a Jug-Band Rock Group.

Name That Tune (from the above songs):  "People Say I'm The Life Of The Party "Cause I Tell A Joke Or Two."  Answer Below.
